I was so enchanted by this young fox in the forest near our mountain cabin in Kosovo. The two beautiful images are taken by renowned wildlife photographer Arian Mavriqi. We went with him to set some camera traps (seen in the photo here) where there was clear evidence of bear (scat) and boar (digging). You can find more of his photography and films here: https://lnkd.in/e3Ri3MRC. I hope you will consider subscribing to support his work as a nature documentor, champion and educator. The double rainbow 🌈 was a bonus. - with Indira Kartallozi

Thank you to Sustainability Leadership Kosova and Indira Kartallozi for hosting this exciting and important event - and inviting me to contribute. In a world of negative headlines and cascading crises, technology and innovation is bringing us scalable solutions, which need recognising, sharing and celebrating.

#Food is highly personal and deeply cultural. Kudos to #Denmark for trying to shift diets to more #plantbased. It won’t be easy but it’s one of the best actions for #climate and #nature. For the majority who will probably still want #meat and #dairy, cultured / cellular #protein and precision fermented protein will need to take up the slack. How is it in your country?

The point a lot of people don’t get about climate change is that it means more weather extremes. In the Balkans over the past week, there has been a heat wave, causing electricity blackouts in Albania, Bosnia, Montenegro and Croatia, due to a surge in demand for air conditioning. Then, last night, in Pristina, the capital city of Kosovo, there were floods and at our cabin in the mountains of Rugova (near Peja), this happened - a violent hail storm. Let’s start calling it what it is: climate extremes.- with Indira Kartallozi

🐝 So happy to see this honeybee swarm in our beech hedge. Swarming is a natural process. It is the colony ensuring its continuity by the old queen leaving with some of the bees. They leave their hive and find somewhere to hang in a cluster until the scout bees decide on their new home. I wish them all the best in their search 💚
