ZÜCA - best rolling suitcase EVER?
I've always been a bit of a bag snob - but when I came across this bag it made me regret ever Tumi I've ever wasted money on. $299 for the Pro version, and a bit more for some of the optional accessories, but oh my, what a great bag.

Seems interesting. I'll try to check it out when possible.

The packing cubes inside the bag initially scared me - but I've found that with a little careful packing, I can stuff a ton of stuff in there, much more than I had anticipated. Other cool touches like the clear TSA pouch make it just one great bag. All I need now is a padded seat cushion (yes, they sell those too), and I've got my own seat

Have you tried putting your netbook in there as well? If so, any significant hassles getting it in and out for security? The bag's rigid frame should provide plenty of protection for all our toys.

The warranty scares me a little. I like my B&R lifetime no questions asked even if I lose the receipt warranty.
Warranty:
ZÜCA Inc. warrants that your ZÜCA product will be free of defects in materials and craftsmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, improper care, skateboard contests, volcanoes or alteration. For additional information, or to report a warranty defect, please contact customer service. Please register your product on the ZÜCA Product Registration page to activate your warranty. Unless you purchased your product on the ZÜCA web site, don't forget to include your original purchase receipt with any warranty return.

I've never been much of a believer in "lifetime warranty" anyway. All parts of the bag are replaceable, and you can order anything from a new frame to spare wheels through them.

You are probably correct. But with my B&R, the repair or REPLACE. You cannot beat that. I just think that for that type of money, if two bags are available, unless one is simply that much superior, all things being equal, I'll take the one that comes with the best warranty.
But the Zuca is cool! ^

Ahhh...they started out as Ice Skating bags for Ice Skaters to carry their skates around with and then have a seat at the rink. However they were too big for carryon and the maker modified the design into the Zuca Pro which is being pitched to travelers.
Hmmm....
I still like the idea of a lifetime warranty. Might look at these for when some of the "disposable" luggage needs to be replaced.

ready to buy one but the warrenty scares me too...have had a bunch of Swiss Army/Victorinox bags. But about 300k/miles on one...thing was beat to hell and I sent it back...they sent me a brandnew bag for free---no questions asked.
1 yr warrenty for 299?!?!?

The warranty, or lack there of, puts this bag in the JV category. I just cannot really take it seriously. I do not believe in lifetime warranty's or extended warranty's for much, but with luggage, its utility has been proven to me time and again.
Nice concept. Not sure about the packing shelves, but the warranty puts it out of even the "experimentation" category.

Nice concept, but not for me. The Zuna bags for skaters were wonderful, but this newest product is not the same. Another case of a brand name being used to push a less valuable product.

Less valuable? I'm not sure I understand - I have $600 rolling cases that are nowhere near as well made as the Zuca Pro I have here. I understand they are better known for their skating bags, but I'd hardly call making the move to travel bags "less valuable".

The travel bags aren't made with the same engineering or construction as the original skater's bag. That's why they are less valuable. At least to me.

Any idea what the differences are? I've never seen their skater bags, so I don't know what they cut corners on.
